PostSubject: Hello from Connah''s Quay!   Mon May 18 2009, 00:52

Hey everyone!
Came across this club while at All Types on Sunday.
My nickname's Olive as I'm the 'other half' of fellow newbie Popeye!! My real name's Teena, I'm 26 and moved to Connah's Quay 5 years from Liverpool.

My everyday car is a T reg 6n 'Minty' Polo, 1.4 8v. She's running on 15" Borbets, lowered 50-60mm on Raceland coilovers, cat-back stainless Scorpion Boxer DTM exhaust, debadged grill, K&N induction kit and charcoal 6n2 seats and carpet. She's nowhere near up to the standard that i want her to be but it's a start and with 4 car projects happening in our house all at once, things just have to be put on hold for a while!! Here's one of my lastest pics of her just after she'd had the plastic door trims removed and freshly clay barred, hope you like her!

My soon to be, summer/show attending car, is a 1991 H reg 1.6 Jetta GX 'Jill'. We've not long had her as we got her for a bargain price of £89.50 off the 'flea-bay'!!! She was an auto but had a gearbox fault so she now has a manual box, flywheel, pedal box and driveshafts fitted but we're trying to find a throttle cable for her but not having much luck! Hopefully she'll be done soon and on the road. Here's the first pic we got of her when we were bringing her home, again, hope you like!

Thank you for the welcome messages!

I have seen a few people driving around a few times,i.e the slammed black Lupo that i seen a few weeks ago and actually got a little flash and nod off!!! we were made up when we seen there was so many people local to us.
I didn't actually see the banner, I noticed the sticker on a car window. Plus we were talking to Elmo about his Jetta and then I was talking to the owner of the black P reg 16v Polo about his rear lights.

There's so much that I want to do to the Polo but as we get married in 4 months time, money's going on paying for the rest of the wedding. I can't wait to get 'Jill' on the road, hopefully her first road trip will be to Inters at the end of June. She was supposed to be going with her boyfriens, 'Jack' but I don't think he's going to be ready in time. 'Jack' is one of Popeye's car's and is another mk2 Jetta in the process of having a VR conversion. Popeye's other car is a remapped TDI Bora but i'll let him introduce them properly on his welcome thread.

So do you have regular meets then and where do you usually have them??

Yeah remember seeing it and having a good luck at it, schweet!!!

I do need to start work again with the Polo. Got so many ideas but it's just time and money. I think we need to grow a money tree in our back garden to fund 4 car projects!!
